Enjoy, and thank you so much for the support… It’s been a long time coming, and I couldn’t be happier to have new music out for everyone to hear. Talk to you soon and enjoy “Is My Voodoo Working?”

I’m a Wiener!

It’s official… I’m a wiener! That’s right, Wiener Records is going to be putting out my new EP “Is My Voodoo Working?” How cool is that?! If you don’t know who they are, they’re a subsidiary of the badass and awesome Burger Records. It’s going to be released on cassette, and I can’t wait for you to hear it. I’m also working on some new music videos, as well as more episodes of everyone’s favorite mini-episodic adventure show “Ask Shmoe”. That’s about it for now. Talk to you soon!

It’s once again everyone’s favorite time… UPDATE TIME!!

Things have been going pretty well in the world of Shmoe. The NEW EP is mixed, mastered by the badass Patrick Haight (Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees, and tons more), and is ready to go. The only issue has been some of the funding to get it out there. I know in these updates you’re supposed to make yourself sound “invincible”, but that’s not the case. The good news is that I finally have the money to go ahead and put out physical copies of the EP. It’ll first be available on cassette, and then vinyl. The EP is called “Is My Voodoo Working” and it includes 6 songs: When the Clock Hits Midnight, Coming Loose, Ghost Town, Death Has Come to Dance, and Near Dawn.

That’s about it for now. More news and updates coming soon! Thanks as always.

New Song

I’m happy to announce we will be releasing a brand new song next Thursday, October 8th!! It’s called “Death Has Come To Dance”. It’s been a long time coming, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it! It’s time to put on your dancing shoes.

FINALLY!! A new update!

I’ve got some awesome news for everyone. Sorry we’ve been MIA for a while, but it’s been because we’ve been hard at work on a whole slew of new stuff.

First things first, there’s a brand new EP on the way called “Is My Voodoo Working”. It’s going to be 6 songs and runs just under a half hour. It’s all over the map and I love it; I hope you’ll love it too. I’m going into Near Alluvium studio to finish up the mixing and getting it all ready for everyone to check out. I’ll let you know where and when you can get it as soon as it’s done. Expect the usual suspects of online stores, plus some physical formats that I’m really excited about.

Secondly, I’m proud to announce that a new episode of Ask Shmoe is coming soon, as well as a brand spanking new radio show! If you loved the Shmodcast, you’ll love this new half hour packed radio show full of music and me ranting and raving. It’ll be great!

That’s about all for now, but be on the lookout for more new stuff very, very soon. I’ll also be updating this site much more frequently now. Hope you’ve all been doing well and hopefully I’ll be seeing your lovely faces at some shows soon!

Take care!

Not Dead

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to send a quick update and let you know we’re not dead and we’re still hard at work on the new album. We’ve got all kinds of new stuff just about ready for your eyes and ears. If you missed it, here’s the latest Ask Shmoe that I put up a few months ago:

Also I just wanted to let you know we’ve been quiet NOT because of lack of things going on, but because of SO much new stuff being done. I’m beyond excited for the future and I just wanted to say thanks as always for the love and support you guys always show the band and me.

When the Clock Hits Midnight

Today’s the day!! The brand new song “When The Clock Hits Midnight” is up and available for your listening pleasure! It features Rob Santogrossi on drums, Jon Brunner on bass, the awesome Garth Herberg on slide/lead guitar, and yours truly on guitar and vocals. It’s a toe-tapper and should give you a good taste of things to come. (You can check it out using the player above, or click HERE to go to my SoundCloud profile.)

Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones!

Stay Tuned

Hey everyone! It’s been a long time since I posted last! It’s not because we have been inactive, we’ve actually been VERY active and working on a lot of new music. In fact on 12-12-12, I’ll be putting up a brand new track for you to hear. Get your dancing shoes on and prepare those booties for some shaking because it’s a lot of fun. The new release is coming along well and we’ve got about 65% of it done. A few more things to record and then it’s off to get it mixed and mastered. I can’t wait for it to be out there for you to hear. Once things get closer to being finished, there will be a whole bunch of new tunes, shows, merch, videos, Ask Shmoes, and other fun stuff. I couldn’t be any more excited for the future and I hope you’re going to enjoy it.

Thanks as always for the love and support. It means a metric-shit-ton to me and the rest of the band! Hope your lives have been going well, and I hope you enjoy the Holiday season. Stay tuned for more updates, they should be a lot more frequent now!!

Good Things Take Time

Hey there, it’s been a while! I just wanted to give you an update on how things are going. The band and I are currently hard at work on new music. It’s coming along really well and I can’t wait for you to hear it. Definitely the strongest stuff I’ve ever written. It’s going to make you dance, while blowing your eardrums. Fun stuff. Sorry it’s taken so long too. If I had my way, you’d be listening to it right now and we’d be coming to play live in your town soon. Good things take time, and this is definitely a labor of love. But don’t worry… new shows, music, and videos will be coming your way soon!

Hope life has been treating you well, and I just wanted to say thanks as always for your love and support. It’s much appreciated. You’ll be hearing more news as things get closer to being finished. So until then, take care and I’ll talk to you soon!
